About Currey & Company

"A designer's wonderland" is how the Currey and Company's selection on Lamps Beautiful could be described. Here you will find Traditional, Transitional, Contemporary, and Casual style lighting fixtures made with materials such as seashell, coral, wood, glass, wrought iron, and crystal. One of Currey and Company's specialties is large chandeliers that are airy rather than dense, and features mirrored lighting fixtures and furniture. It's floor and table lamps also display exciting design sensibilities utilizing materials such as driftwood, porcelain, shells, leather, concrete, and mirrored glass.

Robert B. Currey founded Garden Source Furnishings in Atlanta, Georgia, in 1988. Garden Source sold historic garden furniture from the Winterthur Museum in Delaware as well as a collection of rustic birdhouses, twig furniture, and garden decor. A few years later some lighting items were introduced into the line.

In 1993 Garden Source Furnishings was renamed Currey and Company and it's line of indoor lighting was greatly expanded.

Currey and Company's philosophy is that people are central to its success. Currey's products are highly interesting and good quality because of the people who make them. With a skilled workforce in both Atlanta and in the Philippines, Currey and Company is able to bring to their customers products shaped, finished, and detailed by human hands.

Currey and Company demonstrates care for their employees by giving them the chance to get a four-year college degree by paying for their tuition. Additionally they pay for English programs for their non-English-speaking employees. All of this effort pays off in a dedicated workforce who have the design skills and craftsmanship to create lighting that is aesthetically pleasing and practical.
