About Lite Source
Lite Source began as a tiny company with three employees in 1983 offering a small selection of task lighting. Since then it has grown into a multi-million dollar company and become a major player in the lighting industry. The reason for Lite Source's success is that it produced a vast assortment of lighting that is highly functional, beautiful, and affordable.
The task light selection has grown to 168 different lamps for varied purposes. There are adjustable desk and floor lamps, spot lights, swing-arm lamps, and magnifying lamps. Some take halogen bulbs, fluorescent, or cool, energy-saving LED bulbs. All are Contemporary style, with some of the lamps in bright colors. Some are perfect for students, some lamps ideal for sophisticated office settings.
Lite Source has 258 Contemporary lamps, most of them floor and table lamps that match--quite often with a matching hanging lamp. There are 86 Transitional lamps (lamps that have simplified Traditional elements) and 102 floor lamps that include torchiere types (light points up). Some of the torchiere lamps have attached small adjustable lights that can be used for reading. Other Lite Source floor lamps are multi-headed arch lamps and tray table lamps. A large table lamp collection numbering 336 features Contemporary and Traditional styles made with glass, ceramic, wood, leather, and metal. The fun collection is 52 accent lamps in a riot of colors and forms.
The Contemporary Ceiling Collection includes pendants, chandeliers, and track lights. The small pendant collection has sleek silhouettes made of fabric, metal, and glass. The Transitional Ceiling Collection has simplified chandeliers, inverted hanging lamps, and pendants. The Wall Fixtures and Vanity Lights Collection offers a range of styles and shapes, from one-light sconces to multi-light bath bars. Ceiling Mounts include flush-mounted fixtures, adjustable head mini-tracks, and spot lights.
Lite Source's Classic Collection features Traditional style table and floor lamps with a nice selection of Tiffany style lamps. Additionally there are chandeliers and lamp shades.
Last but not least, Lite Source has an entire Kid's Collection. Lamps made with little bats and baseballs, basketballs, footballs, and soccer balls complement matching bookends, shelves, corkboard, mirror, and clock. Other lamps feature a train, biplane, old West, flowers, puppies, dolls, and ballerina slippers. There are little crystal chandeliers and pastel table lamps, animal lamps, and small brightly colored Contemporary table lamps. Colorful desk lamps for the young student and even lamps with clocks all serve to provide light for the little ones.
