Some of the lights here use real gold plating as a finish, particularly some select crystal fixtures, but most use golden tones in applied finishes. You will find a range of shiny to matte as well as bright to darker versions. Some items have an Antique Gold interpretation that imitates older antique finishes or some just use golden undertones that warm up the overall feel. Gold finishes have been used for centuries in lighting and decor so when used today the fixtures evoke those older designs and coordinate well with traditional interiors.
