Description
Features Maxfield Parrish's "Ecstasy", woman on rocks backed by a purplish blue sky and white clouds. This image is fused onto glass in a brass frame. In this image, Parrish made liberal use of his hallmark "Parrish Blue" sky which dominates the muted southwestern palette of the background. He became increasingly romantic in his painting portrayals and subjects, and the figure in "Ecstasy" seems a monument to this passion.
