Crystorama founder Abraham Kleinberg started the company in 1958 as a lighting design boutique. As the years went by, his children entered the family business and now oversee the design, production, and distribution of their lighting products. What started out as a traditional crystal chandelier company now offers ceiling lights, wall sconces, lanterns, pendants, and island lights in several styles.
Crystal chanderliers remain central to the business but in addition they make brass and alabaster chandeliers. Crystorama is one of the few manufacturers still producing real alabaster chandeliers today.
Crystorama was one of the first to make crystal chandeliers diffused by drum shades. This hybrid style can be found everywhere now and Crystorama's versions are exceptional still.
Several contemporary lighting collections have been developed which provide a space-age feel and stark contrast to the soft traditional looks. Also there is a sprinkling of organic designs using flowers, vines, and leaves for an expression of nature.
